About Us
Since opening our doors in 2019 we have always valued one thing, COMMUNITY.

The Poppleton Social is more than just a coffee shop or bar, we are a hub for the community! Whether it’s a cup of coffee, a place to chat with your friends and family, or a family meal out, it’s always an opportunity for us to make a memory for you.
Working closely with local suppliers is also close to our hearts, and we have strong connections with the local butchers, bakers and breweries who hold just as vital a role in the community as we do. The opportunity to support other local businesses has meant the world to us, and to have the opportunity to use and serve their products in our award winning coffee shop!
Our staff are of the utmost importance to us, as their work can too often go unseen. We are committed to building a relationship with them that will last far beyond their time working here. They champion our values everyday, and are well loved and well known by not just us, but our community too!

Our Coffee
Here at the Poppleton Social, we understand the importance of a coffee to a person's day. Whether it's the morning coffee after the school run, or an evening coffee to end the day, we have the coffee for you.
Our Freshly Roasted Coffee comes from the Multi-Award Winning company Square Mile. Their seasonal blend is made up of the freshest coffee beans from around the world, carefully blended together as harvests are collected from each country. Sometimes the beans in your cup were growing on a plant in Southern America or Africa just weeks ago!
Night or day, you'll find our coffee machine ready and raring to go. We use trusted brands such as Mythos, La Marzocco, Victoria Arduino & more in all of our equipment. We've worked with coffee for years, and know that your next coffee is only as good as the equipment you're using!
Our Beer
We LOVE Beer
Because of this love, we've made sure to find the best in the business for you to try! We always try to use independent brands (being independent ourselves!) and the more local, the better.
We're always keeping our eyes peeled for new and brilliant beers for you to try, so feel free to suggest some to us!
And if beer's not your thing...not to worry! We also serve a range of premium gins, wines & spirits Tuesday-Saturday evening.

Evening Street Food
We are delighted to offer a range of Street food inspired items on our menu! Ranging from our Stone Baked Pizza, to our brand new Buttermilk Fried Chicken!
Our buttermilk chicken is made fresh everyday from local butchers chicken, seasoned & marinaded with our own secret spice blend & served up in a range of signature burger combinations!

Our New York style Pizzas are also made fresh to order, in true NY style with a thin crispy base...and LOTS of toppings!
Our evening street food menu is served Thursday, Friday & Saturdays 5pm-8pm and is also available to takeaway
Our Cakes
At the Poppleton Social we're proud to say our cakes are all homemade!
We make everything fresh on site and we're always coming up with new decadent ways to satisfy your sweet tooth.
We serve lots of options, from stuffed cookies to classic brownies, Malteser tiffins to vegan flapjacks and everything in between.
If you're hitting the playpark with the kids, or catching up with a friend for a coffee, grab a cake and take a minute to relax and treat yourself.

Brunch
We adore brunch and think it's a great way to spend time, whether it's with family, friends (or just a minute by yourself!)

Our brunch menu is served Monday-Saturday 10am-3pm and features some classic brunch dishes like Avocado & Eggs on Toast and also some tasty lunch dishes like Toasties (oozing with cheese of course!).
All of our ingredients are sourced from local suppliers ad are delivered fresh every week. We use trusted brands such as Baltserzens bakery in Harrogate, Simon Baynes Greengrocers, York Wholesale Meats (in Poppleton!) and more!
And on Saturdays we serve up a special treat! Pancakes! Served from 10am, they're a great way to reward yourself for a week well done.
